Winemaker Notes

One of the newer additions to the line up, the Los Compañeros is a blend of 84% Shiraz and 16% Tempranillo. Perfect blending companions, Tempranillo provides aromatic lift and a rustic textural element to the soft richness of the Shiraz. No new oak here, so the fruit really sings.

Aging Process

Wild yeast, open fermenters, gentle cap management. Maturation: 14 months in seasoned French Oak

Tasting notes

Soft, ripe blue and red berries follow on to the palate. Shiraz providing a bright mouthful of plush darker fruit, with Tempranillo chiming in with blueberry and red liquorice notes before offering providing a deliciously savoury tannin profile with lifted baking spices.

Aroma

Red fruit pastilles with dark cherry and perfumed violets lift up from glass with a touch of spice popping out.
