2023 'Eastside' Shiraz

Vintage Conditions - Good winter rain allowed soil profiles to be full, giving the vines a great start to the growing season. A remarkably cool summer followed, providing perfect conditions for healthy balanced vines. The long ripening period produced fruit with a perfect balance of good colour, high natural acidity, and concentrated flavours.

15 months in new and seasoned oak.

A generous wave of red and blue fruits, cherry, plum, blueberry, and blackberry unfolds on the palate. Subtle spice notes of nutmeg, five-spice, and a hint of anise emerge with time in the glass. The wine’s bright acidity, shaped by Clare’s slate soils, provides structure and freshness, while fine, velvety tannins deliver a smooth, lingering finish.

Lifted aromas of maraschino cherry and freshly picked mulberries lead, supported by layers of charry oak, pie crust, and warm baking spices that add depth and complexity.
