2025 'Luccio' Fiano

The Clare Valley endured one of its most challenging vintages, with the second driest year on record. A wet July was followed by a dry, warm spring and summer. On 17 September, frost hit our Polish Hill vineyard just after budburst. Fortunately, the early timing of the frost allowed our vines to respond with healthy shoot growth and a smaller canopy. Lower yields and careful irrigation led to full ripeness. Fruit showed excellent concentration, with red varieties displaying deep colour and intensity.

Ripe peach and stonefruit flavours mingle with preserved lemon and ground spices, while a touch of tart kumquat adds refreshing vibrancy. This creates a medium-bodied, lavish mouthfeel, perfectly balanced by a crisp acid line that leaves you reaching for another sip.

Bright and expressive, with fresh melon, green apple, and lime citrus florals unfolding immediately, complemented by a delightful candied orange note and subtle hints of warming spices.
