2021 'Traditionale' Riesling - Museum Release

Still fresh, with lime juice at its core, the nose is beginning to develop notes of preserved lemon, ripe lime and a gentle lime-marmalade sweetness.

Fresh lime and lime cordial remain the dominant flavours. Early bottle development is building concentration and introducing a subtle honeyed character, although the richer buttered-toast notes of mature Riesling have not yet emerged. The palate remains bright, balanced and long.

This might be the best value wine currently available in Australia. A cracking and always reliable Riesling from a brilliant vintage, five years under the belt has barely started to age the wine at all. 100% free run juice, on this occasion the wine spent three months in stainless steel on lees after fermentation.
At this stage, we are seeing hints of lemon curd, toast and lemon butter, florals and straw. The wine is immaculately balanced, and the aromas just keep coming, morphing from one joy to another. This still has at least twenty years, probably longer ahead of it. Love it. Magic.
