2024 'Il Premio' Reserve Sangiovese

The fifth release of “Il Premio”(The Prize). After 33 years of growing sangiovese, it is safe to say that this wine has absolutely earned it’s place alongside our other reserve wines. 

"In this vintage, slightly sweeter and more generous fruit characters are evident compared with the excellent 2023 release. A lovely mix of black and red cherry aromas combines with a liberal influence of spicy dried herbs. The palate is supremely balanced, with the clever use of older French oak creating a harmonious partnership with excellent fruit from a very good vintage. The result is a lovely medium-weight palate that is approachable, friendly and thoroughly satisfying. It’s everything you could want from this variety." Rated 94 Points by Ray Jordan, Winepilot
